Label Oeko-Tex

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is the most important label in the world for textiles which have been tested for harmful substances. Textiles with this label are good for your wellbeing and that of your children.

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 says that babies require special protection.

Baby
For this reason, the Storchenwiege® baby sling is subjected to the strictest criteria of the Oeko-Tex Standard Product Class 1, to suit sensitive baby's skin.

Because it comes in close contact with the skin, particularly high requirements are set. For example, no equipment is allowed which contains formaldehyde. The saliva-resistance requirement means that dyes are not allowed to bleed or run if babies suck on the sling.

Cotton
The Storchenwiege® baby sling is tested every year by independent inspection institutes which are specially authorised by Oeko-Tex. When it passes the test, the sling then receives the "Oeko-Tex Standard 100" certificate for a period of twelve months.

After that time, the sling is tested once more. You can view the current certificate as a PDF document:
